Tyler Severance, a 16-year-old from New Castle, became the first Delawarean to win a world yo-yo title when he won the counterweight/freehand division at the World Yo-Yo Contest in Orlando, Fla., on Friday.

Severance works at Mitchell’s Trains, Toys & Hobbies in Wilmington and is a member of the store’s yo-yo club, which meets each Friday at 4 pm at the Fairfax Shopping Center Store. Read the whole story
